Rockford, Ill.- After recovering from a slow start, the Rockford IceHogs have reeled off four straight wins (4-3-0-1) and have a chance to avenge two of those losses tonight against the Chicago Wolves at the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7:05 p.m. The game is also an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup.
The first 1,500 adults 21-and-older will receive a voucher for an IceHogs mug courtesy of Applebee’s. The voucher can be redeemed at either Rockford area Applebee’s and is the first of a two-set series that will be given away this season.
For tickets, visit IceHogs.com, call (815) 968-5222 or stop at any Ticketmaster outlet and the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office.
Tonight’s game can be viewed on WIFR’s 23.2 “Weather Now,” Comcast Cable channel-436, Mediacom 101 or online through AHLlive.com. The web stream can be heard through IceHogs.com.
Rockford dropped their first two games of the 2012-13 season to the Wolves at the Allstate Arena, including a 1-0 shootout defeat on opening night, leading Rockford to an 0-3-0-1 start. But four straight wins have pulled the IceHogs above .500 and a regulation win tonight would tie the Hogs with Chicago for first place in the Midwest Division.
Brandon Pirri has the hot hand for the IceHogs, marking points in four-straight contests (3g-3a) and Ben Smith has three goals over his past two outings after being held off the score sheet during the first six games.
