Keeping the puck in the offensive zone pretty well early.

Is it me or does Crawford look a bit shaky. He's coming way out of the net, letting out rebounds.

I'm really not a fan of the bottom 6 right now. Really lacks an identity.

Brunette/Bolland/Kruger
Frolik/Mayers/Bickell

Just doesn't make sense to me because you have guys playing out of position and trying to fulfill a role that doesn't fit their style.

Probably the best solution would be to trade for a top 6 winger/center so that Carcillo can drop down to the 4th line and provide an identity, along with his nice skillset that he has for the type of player he is.

I'm not worried about the forwards on this team.

If they make any trades, it better be for defense.

Or they could like... play Lepisto over Odonnell. I'm still not understanding that decision.

Christ, that last bit sounded like you know who :( I'll stop.

ugly boring game. at least the victoria secret runway show was on during the 3rd.

Kept switching to it. What was with all the ridiculous feathers, wings and other shit the chicks had strapped to their back?

Very distracting. Made it hard to beat off, though switching back to the game and catching Shane Doan's ugly mug didn't really help matters either.

I agree that our defense needs to be upgraded, but my only question is who/where?

Do you go for a top 4 guy and then have a bottom two pairing of Montador/Hjalmarsson who have a combined cap hit of $6.25Mil? Or do you go for a Sarich/Jurcina (names I have seen people throw out) to improve over a Lepisto/O'Donnell, but how marginal of an upgrade is that? I'm just having an issue trying to figure out who/where.

When I take a look at the offense, I see that we still need a top 6 forward. I'm still not sold on Stalberg on a top 6 guy even though he has played well and I think Carcillo would help out our 4th line a whole lot even though he is doing his job well on the 2nd line. Taking a look at UFA's on teams that might be sellers I see top six guys like Parise/Doan/Whitney (currently their teams are in the playoffs), Ruutu, and Jokinen - after that it gets thin. You also have rumors of Bobby Ryan being available and Jeff Carter wanting to be traded - both teams in the West and one being in the Central.

The Blackhawks have $6Mil in Cap Space and they could take up to an approximate $8Mil+ worth of Cap Hit this year because it would be prorated...they certainly have the room to make improvements all around. Personally, I'm a fan of doing it sooner than later.

I think last night's loss was my fault, guys. Everytime I watch the Blackhawks play, they lose. :dunno:
