1998 the best video game year of all time?

Yahoo article votes 1998 the best year for video games in its top 5 years for video game releases.



Some things Id have to agree, I had 4 of the 8 titles they listed as the best releases that year. (Half-Life, StarCraft, Zelda:OoT, Baldurs Gate) and 4 of the 2007 releases (Orange Box, ME, Assassins Creed, and MW2). I didnt own a single one of the 2001 releases(2001-2006 I probably played the least amount of video games as any period in my life, I was in college and too focused on getting liquored up and partying, except for that horrifying WoW stint in 2005, that and the whole Army thing), only one of the 1996 releases, 3 of the 1991 releases and I wasnt even born in 1980.

I worked on the EQ Invasion tour in 2002 but I am not even close to being considered a gamer. I used to play Blades Of Steel on Nintendo and Commandos on my computer. I did do some Medal of Honor stuff on Playstation but that's about it.
