Start with the 2 year (cheaper), get the associates, transfer to 4 year, get the bachelors/masters. JMO.

If I had to do it all again (it took me 5.5 years to get my bachelors, 2 years for masters, after I finally took school seriously), I would have gone to community college, or a 2 year school at the beginning and then, when I really knew what direction I wanted to go, transfered to a 4 year school to finish.

Ultimately, the answer wholly depends on what it is you want to do for a j-o-b the rest of your life and how serious you are now about getting there.
If you've been on the college tract in high school and are unsure what you want to do, definitely do the community college first.

I have found success going straight to a 4 year school, but like Iago said, its entirely up to you andd what track you are taking in high school

I'm at a 2 year college and will get Associates in the Summer. Then credits will transfer to get my Bachlors. If everything goes right, I'll have my Bachlers in 1.5-2 years.

Hmmm... well I'm on the college track in high school and I know exactly what I want to do. Theatre. At first I thought it would be better for the $$$ to go to community college, but I am confident that I can get scholarships and stuff. I'm just thinking that the extra 2 years up there could really pay off with just getting my name out there and meeting the people and making relationships.
