All this time I thought it was just because he had a thing for Wade.

All of those states are states I'd want nothing to do with based on the weather ( I hate heat).

Meh. Hurricanes at least you know are coming days in advance. Not like a tornado that pops up out of nowhere. The year we got 3 though in like a month blew pretty bad. I was out of power for like 2 weeks after Charlie. August in FL w/ no air conditioning = miserable.

The ONLY reason Florida is rated high is due to tourism $$, that makes up 4/no state income tax.

Florida is also known as a "right to work state". While that means there are no unions, it also means the average wage rates are lower. This is due in particular to cut rate labor floating in from Haiti etc. My customers used to love them b/c they would stucco buildings for 8 bucks an hour.

And I wouldn't be so quick to move there either. It gets old fast, and the summers(which last 6 months w/lots of rain)are brutally humid...particularly the west coast. Hurricanes are fun to go through....until you lose electricity FOR 2 weeks. Try going to work after a night of no A/C in the dark, when all of the traffic devices are not working.

I was 20 miles south of this footage when it was taken, in a parking garage. The guys who filmed this were expecting it to hit Tampa...they were wrong.

Wilma was the last(10/05), it was actually worse than Charlie b/c it covered a larger area. The power was off in all the pumping stations for 2 days, many of us had no water along w/no power.

BTW, the water temps are extremely warm in the Carribean/Gulf this year. The set-up is the same as it was back in 04'.

Wow, Mass actually moved up one spot from 47 to 46, since Romney left office LOL.

Yeah, we need to get our shit in order in IL. This is embarrassing.

Wisconsin and Indiana showing the biggest growth while we show the biggest loss.
