Sadly, Daniel Sedin wins an award..

I'd of voted Perry but It's just more amusing that Daniel won it. After the great season he puts together the 20 point -9 playoffs that fell short.:buttrock:

Chris Angel is far from the biggest name in magic since Houdini, lousy script for Jay Mohr

Not to be a Blackhawks' homer or anything, but going by the stats stated during the show and Toews' better +/- and overall points, how could he have not gotten it?

I mean, not to take away from Kesler, even though he's kind of a ******, but yea...

It was acknowledged he was in consideration after the season but I was thinking it would be Tim Thomas especially since they're promoting the "live" goalie style

I'm glad Perry got the MVP and not the other candidates.

Perry was huge this year and definitely earned it over Sedin.

It's weird... before the playoffs, there was a lot of talk about Perry winning the award and that Sedin wouldn't win just because he constantly plays with his brother and that his brother won it last year. But right as the playoffs started, the press kept referring to the Sedins as "potential back to back MVPs" and it just sorta turned into a "well, he's probably going to win it". I never bought into it for the previously stated reasons, but it sure seemed like the press was loving the fact that the soon to be cup champions would have a pair of brothers that were back to back MVPs. It was all just part of the story line they were writing in these playoffs. We all know how much they love to hit us over the head with story lines during playoffs.

Of course, I could be totally nuts and the only one who saw things this way...

Regardless, nice to see Perry win it. Ducks wouldn't have made the playoffs without him. Can't say the same for Sedin. Definitely enjoyed the shot of Sedin in the audience as Perry was headed up to the stage to get his award. Thought he might squirt out a tear or two.
