I expect two things every year ---
1) Games in Chicago are always sold out (Unless your ok with paying over $100 per game per seat of if you'd prefer letting StubHub screw you for $100 more than that..)... and
2) If they aren't, its usually "standing room only"...
and add the fact there will likely be a strike this year??? Yeah, I'll hold on any potential hockey tickets til the strike is over.
And note... I have yet to go to an actual Hawks game since 2010, and that isn't due to the fact I can't afford a cheap seat...My luck has just been that bad. I've had to settle for games in St Louis ever since (sadly not even against the Hawks either...), and trust me, I am
not a fan of the Loo, but I need to get my hockey fix from
somewhere.... and until Rosemont decides on cancelling their contract with Vancouver, that won't be happening either.
I COULD, in essence, do the last game of the year in the Loo, but blech... I've been there too many times to count.
If the game in Florida in March is still happening, I'll likely hit that game, but its either that, Philadephia, or Dallas for me, pending I don't decide on just doing an NYC-NJ trip entirely instead just to say I went there. Eff Phoenix! I wouldn't get the same experience as I would in Chicago, but the temptation of seeing hockey in sunny Florida in March.... yeah. Either that or Dallas due to the older players and the extremely cheap and empty chairs, hehe....
Philly is also looking to be an interesting choice, but I don't want to enjoy my first Hawks road game by getting my ass handed to me in the process. -.- I'd be staying wherever I go for a week to explore the city I visit, so I also have to keep that in consideration.
We'll see how I feel come tax return time.... that and how long the strike will be, lol
