Asian guy on science channel disagrees. Lightsabers as they are portrayed in starwars are not possible. The closest you can get is an extendable metal rod that is electrically charged. The energy and light would not stop, you would have to have a controlled black hole in the hilt, and even then you couldnt "fence" with light sabers theres not matter there.
