I also love how the Dead Things are basically all in on ever FA with an almost similar cap space number as the Hawks.

Except our depth at center is even worse. Backup goalies is going to be different since Emery is going to get more than we can afford. Also I doubt Rosival is back so the Hawks need someone to pair up on the backend with Leddy still. 6 million to play with means they can address a few spots, but unfortunately a 2c is probably out of the question given the holes and cap space at this point with still having to resign Kruger.

I think we have the pieces from Rockford to use to fill some spots. Morin and Stanton should be on the hawks depending on who is signed and what not. I'd like to see Pirri get a crack as well

Giroux gets paid...8 yr. 66.2 million dollar extension starting in the 2014-15 season. 8.275 million per year...ugh. That is 4.5 mil per year more than he is making now.

Philly, when are you going to learn? Not saying that the guy isn't good, but with all of the problems that they have, this might not be the smartest move.

You mean a goalie is an important part of a hockey team? I thought that as long as you scored a ton of goals, then you could win with anyone between the pipes....I mean, look how well that worked for the Penguins.
