Alternate Road Jersey and Throwbacks on Tap for the Cubs During the 2014 Season
The Cubs will wear an alternate road jersey during the upcoming season as well as throwback jerseys from 10 different decades as part of the team’s year-long celebration of Wrigley Field.
The Cubs are recognizing Wrigley Field turning 100 years old this season. The current team will celebrate 10 different decades over 10 different homestands and the Cubs will wear the jerseys on “Throwback Sunday” over nine Sundays during the season.
2014 Alternate Road Jersey
1914 – April 23 vs. Diamondbacks
1929 – May 4 vs. Cardinals
1937 – May 18 vs. Brewers
1942 – June 8 vs. Marlins
1953 – June 22 vs. Pirates
1969 – July 13 vs. Braves
1978 – July 27 vs. Cardinals
1988 – August 10 vs. Rays
1994 – August 24 vs. Orioles
2008 – Sept. 7 vs. Pirates
