Just a glimpse of the upcoming playoff bracket as of today, April 1st. I like how things are working out for a Bulls vs Heat ECCG. If the Heat gets that #1 seed, the Bulls will have to hold off Toronto for the 3rd seed, to get into the same bracket as the Pacers.

If the Heat chokes and lets Indy get that #1 seed, then the Bulls would need the 4th seed to stay in the same bracket as Indy. I'd much rather face Indy first and get another chance at the Heat in the CG.

It would also give DRose more time .... just sayin. Not saying we can beat the Pacers or the Heat, but sure looks pretty interesting to me how things are shaping up. Good thing we didn't Tank! :nope:

Brooklyn is a team we don't want to face in 1st round as well, imo. They have also beat the Heat 3 times this year. I believe they have the vets that can tire the Heat out as well.

Good. I'm on the anti-heat bandwagon. This bracket looks like it gives the Pacers a free pass to the ECF, assuming they get their heads on straight...and the Heat have to get beat up by us first. Also, the Spurs will likely get the Rockets, while the Thunder get to coast...

#3 is still within reach and we could use that home court in the first round.

We'd have home court with #3 or #4.

That's my point, I want the Bulls and Toronto to flip positions. Facing Wash and Indy is much nicer than facing Brooklyn and the Heat. I think it's about matchups. Brooklyn matches up well with the Heat. They are 3-0 against the Heat this year actually. If Garnett comes back healthy and rested, he could be a force against the Heat.

Could you imagine if the Bulls beat Indy and somehow Brooklyn manages to upset the Heat? EC finals at the UC! Even if the Heat were to beat Brooklyn, I believe they will beat up doing so, further helping the Bulls. Like I said, it's shaping up to be an interesting playoffs, imo!

You could say our 2010-11 team matched up well too. We went 3-0 against the Heat in the regular season. Lost the playoff series 4-1.

True story. In that scenario one would think kg and Pierces could hopefully male it a tough series on lebron and co.

The 3 seed is ideal for the Bulls. Don't want to face Brooklyn and I sure as hell don't want to face Miami in the second round.

If the Bulls advance, the better matchup would be Indy.

Go for the highest seed that you can get and hope for the best. No one ever thought that the Bulls would be where they are right now. Stranger things have happened where the number one or two guys get beat, right? Right now I give a crap whether they have to play Indy or the Heat. In both cases they will be a big underdog but who gives a crap? I think, though, that right now, the Bulls are playing the best competitive ball in the east and could beat either of them IF THEY STAY HEALTHY:) Considering that they never have been healthy in the last five years entering the play-offs, that is all that I want.

Besides Rose, this is the healthiest the Bulls have been since Thibs arrival.

Only good thing about this is that we can start planning for next year earlier. No way we get past Brooklyn or Miami if it gets that far. No way. Miami and Brooklyn are playing for the Postseason. Our lack of scoring will come back to bite us just like it did last year. And Brooklyn is better than it was a year ago and we go down in that series easy over seven games. 4-2 Brooklyn if we lose, 4-3 again if we win, and another 4-1 loss against the Heat.

Afraid of the "Nets"? Come-on!!! The Nets are not a team that can simply hit a switch and become dangerous. Look what happened last year in the play-offs. They take plays off and have a sort of playground bully mentality. Fear the Nets??? Not gonna happen. Punch the bully in the nose, kick him in the balls, and have him wimper on the ground.
