Sick. 625hp +. Wonder what the MSRP is gonna be.

Corvette love is interesting. When I was 17 I had $750 to buy a used car. My choices were a 7 year old 1965 mustang and a 1962 yellow Corvette for $1200. Because of my limited fnances I got the Mustang and passed on the Corvette.

For about 15 years I regretted it. But like many 30s males I got over the Corvette love. I became more interest in Jaguars and BMWs and I bought this

What I learned over the years is that Corvette were very poorly made (Im sure that has changed some) and they rode like trucks. Plus they had the image of pornstache douches. Today I see an old Corvette and think it's interesting but would never want one

I never owned a vette. Other than the ridiculously ugly rear lights, I wouldn't mind the new one. Midlife crisis coming up soon, we'll see. LOL.

I had a '72 Stingray back in the 90s. That pig of a vehicle pretty much shook out whatever Vet love I had in me.

Modern Corvettes? I'd rather have a Shelby and save myself 30K.

I wouldn't mind a 58 replicar Corvette on a modern chassis with modern engine. Actually, mind it, I would love it and wag the bird at every purist that said it was blasphemy.

Have you driven or worked on one?

Not yet (they just started delivery of per-ordered cars in December), but having driven both the c5 and c6 and being familiar with the technical aspects of them compared with the c7, it will be an improvement all around (as test figures from a variety of sources have shown). I'll try to remember to let you know once I get one on a track.

Cool. I'm not saying the thing is a piece or anything.

I just haven't been a fan since I saw the first one (watched it auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson). Built some stuff for customer cars and I'm just not sold yet.

That's a pretty badass car but it's drifting away from what the Z06 really meant. The past Z06's had a manual trans, tuned n/a engine, and conventional suspension to make it more track focused than other models. That's also what made it one of the best values in sports cars in the world. This is more like ZR1 lite, with the auto trans option and the electronically adjustable suspension.
