My wife is fantastic at following recipes and combining recipes to make ultimate recipes. I improvise for the most part. End results are roughly the same. Neither of us are chefs though, we are both technically "Domestic Line Cooks."
My strengths - always use enough salt, knowing how to build flavors. Weaknesses - Make food too spicy for kids sometimes, sometimes am high in the kitchen so shit can get fucked up.
Her Strengths- textbook execution, patience. Weaknesses - never uses enough salt and believes that the end-user can adjust for salt which i think is utter bullshit much of the time. Not open to constructive criticism much of the time.

I don't think you are supposed to improvise when baking. It's more like a science. Did you ever get high before chemistry class? tell me how that worked out....

Stopped by Marianos this morning and got a 4 pound bag of Kirkland wings (blue bag). Left them in the car to defrost. Can't wait for game time.
