The Bulls last played competitively against a top team on March 4th.. against Milwaukee. They had a lead going into the 4th Q before quickly blowing up but game ended up a 6 point loss.

Their home game against Memphis on Feb 22nd they almost pulled off the 4th Q comeback getting within two with a possession with a chance to tie it with 4 minutes left. They did get within one twice in the final 2 minutes.

They also played competitive against Milwaukee on Jan 21st, the game Grayson Allen broke Caruso's wrist. That was 4 point less.

But otherwise, most of their losses vs the top 4 seeds from each conference are 20+ point blowouts. There's a few deceiving stat line games like when they played Phoenix and only lost by 3. They were down 15-20 points all game, including 15 points with 1:41 left when Donovan pulled the starters. Malcolm Hill went nuts and made the score look more close than it really was.

Frankly, I expect them to look like they did in their last 4 games the starters played (all blowout losses) and I pretty much expect the scores to all look the same.

It’s crazy how often the bulls are blown out by the top teams. Even bad teams with worse records make the games competitive or dare I say it, even pull out a win or two. Pure dysfunction with the talent level the bulls have, which isn’t top tier, but certainly good enough to keep those games competitive and win some of them.

It is a fair statement to say that when it comes to teams over .600, the Bulls have massively and outrageously underperformed. It may not be a stretch to say that against teams over .600 they are by far the worst team in the league. It's very strange to me how it happens every time without fail.

We can only hope that changes next year

It’s flat out bonkers how it basically happens every time without fail and I don’t think there’s any way a major portion of the blame should not fall on BD. The team has no chemistry on offense or defense and no life to them at all.

Adjustments and things like that have to go onto the coaching staff, so BD gets 90% of the blame imo. From the player perspective, sometimes maybe you're not hitting shots or it's just like that sometimes and that is what it is, even if you do everything right, but the coach needs to be able to make some changes to try to make things easier for your guys. You can't just slam your head and do the same stuff and expect different stuff to happen. That's what it feels like watching this team

Not that it matters for anything, but if the Bulls were actually a competent team who had a chance to win a game in this series, this is how I think it would be done...let Giannis go crazy because you don't have anyone who can touch him defensively regardless, lock everyone else up. There's nothing you can do to stop Giannis, but there are things you can do to stop everyone else. Recall a hobbled Brooklyn team nearly took the Bucks out last year and Holiday and Middleton were much worse than they were in other rounds. Likewise the Bucks basically did the same thing back to them and forced KD to beat them singlehandedly, which he came one big toe from doing.

Bulls would still be massive underdogs in the series, but such a strategy would at least give them some type of chance imo. Not in reality though, if they did this during the series I still expect 20+ point losses because they can't do anything right.
