Interesting... but if we go back far enough, down the evolution chain... no matter where we are on earth shouldn't we all have evolved from the same place meaning that now matter where we started or where we went we have evolved from the DNA? Or over the years does that not matter because it out mutates the distinguishing code?

This has been surmised for a long time. 'Native Americans' are descendant from Russians, Mongolians, Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese...sort of...since they have all morphed a bit over time. But the reference to that part of the world should resonate true.

Yes at a certain point we are all the same. When populations of humans remained in one place for a period of time, their DNA changed. Thats how scientists can look at your Y chromosome and literally trace where your (paternal) ancestors traveled since leaving Africa.

I watched a doc where they tested a bunch of people in new york to trace their lineage. Some peoples ancestors went out of africa, back to africa and back out again.

With all those south pacific Islands, they believe at the time people came, all the south pacific islands were connected via land bridge or at least very little distance.

Would love to see it if you remember it or have a link. Shit is very interesting. What's really fucked up to me is like in his illustration above how did the people get from polyneasia out to hawaii... I mean.. it was a long time ago so the tech was shit, but at the same time it wasn't long enough ago for the drift to have been much closer. one day people just decided there was an island out there thousands of miles away they could row to? **** me.

Correct! In fact there are groups that sail from Hawaii to Tahiti using only the tech available to ancient ocean peoples and star/current based navigation.

It was a national geographic doc called "the Human family tree". If I recall as well a lot of the black people tested their y chromosome genetic marker was European.

oh I know, it's just fucked up to me to think that they just decided there was something out there and the exact location. I mean... how did they even find it...

With the Neanderthal DNA sequence complete (or mostly), there will be changes discovered in the spread path of Homosapiens in the world. Already being found out that Neanderthal DNA is prevalent in modern Asians.
