That's so they can fill the spots of James Daniels, David Montgomery, Cole Kmet, Khalil Mack, Roquan Smith when they trade them along with 3 1sts and 3 2nds for Deshaun Watson.

The other guys I can see as depth but Holtz, man he whiffs on so many blocks...

Do the coaches even watch the tape? Geez

He's a roster longshot. Looks good though when you give your guys who were on the practice squad the year before a camp invite, which is essentially all these deals really amount to.

These are all exclusive rights free agents, which means only the Bears can sign them to a fixed (very low) amount. Most are so low they won't even count toward the cap. There is no risk or really expenditure on the Bears part with any of these signings.

Bars / Vaughters at least show promise, glad they got a chance last season.

The rest are placeholders but hey

JP Holtz, Ryan Nall, James Vaughters. These mfer wouldn’t make another teams practice squad.

Meh.

James Vaughters had more tackles, more TFLs and was only a half sack behind Robert Quinn last season.

Terrible for Quinn, but very promising for Vaughters.

I keep praying every day that we see a missing person report for Robert Quinn.

JP Holtz when he hears he's making another 700k this season for being a pro at avoiding contact:
