I've always thought turnovers were an overstated issue for Gordon, but it's silly to use a three game sample size to prove the point that Gordon doesn't turn the ball over.

His 2.4 TOs per 36 minutes is a rate I find perfectly acceptable for his usage though. It's been steady for two years now, and it's not a high rate at all for his usage.

^pretty much...you have to factor in how much he hasnt had the ball in his hands this series...still he's done a fine job of doing something he should be doing...

Yah for a SG he does not turn the ball over and actually can break out a wicked handle. In game 3 he did have that behind the back crossover move for the layup on someone, that was nice. His problem is for a PG and when he has the ball on an iso his turnover rate goes up. He can't run the point, which would help him a lot because of his size and make him more versitile.

The only real extended period of time that Ben Gordon looked like a legitimate superstar was over the Miami series two years ago. Deng got credit for the series, but Gordon was clearly better, and was the driving force. Deng made his shots, but Gordon was the one who was breaking the Miami defense. In that series, Gordon had a very high number of turnovers, but imo, played the best ball of his career over a set of games.

If you are making lots of impact plays like Ben was in that series, then having a lot of turnovers isn't really a big deal.

This series, with only 1 turnover, that's great. Gordon has looked like he's had some good focus this series, and isn't making mistakes. Too bad the same can't be said about his teammates.

Ehhh.. Gordon had 1 dominant game in this series, and 1 good game, and 1 poor game. You considered him a #1 scorer for a team, and at that level the only game that was really good was game 2 (obviously), he didn't perform at that level for game 1 or game 3.

Though game 1 he helped a lot with his clutch play in the 4th after being a trainwreck through three quarters (that's vintage season 1 Gordon right there).

I agree with you on the turnover point though, when you are playing at a high level the turnovers aren't a big deal, and Gordon's amount of them hasn't been an issue the past two years even if you were the type who did think it was a big deal.
