4 Defensemen, one Cup?

So I've been doing some thinking and the main reason we are losing this series is that our defence is pretty thin compared to literally every other NHL team at this point.

God forbid we move forward and get embarrassed by the Rangers. They are so much more tough than the Ducks and deep as well.

Has any NHL team ever one the cup with just 4 Defencemen? I know they are bringing up that guy from teh IceHogs but will that be enough? I thought his leg was broke?

So let's take a look:

We have timonen, rundblad and cumiskey all play like 6 minutes a night, and then Keith plays like 30 minutes. It would be awesome if they could clone Keith but the technology just isn't there (lol)

Who needs to step up at this point? hjalmerson? Oduya?

It's been pretty terrible thinking about the lack of D on this team. Why even bother to pay Toews and Kaner so much money if we can't keep the puck out of our own net? Also, Toews - he used to score right?

one thing I've learned through the last few weeks is that Hockey is much more complex than any other sport. ANd the way the Hawks approach the game makes it even more complex. YOu can't just single out ONE player to lay the blame on. Toews needs to score, he needs to mix it up and adapt, but there are far bigger problems than just one Captain.

The cloning ability is actually there but the Hawks cant afford it thanks to Toews contract and the clubs unjustified need to resign Saad for over 5 million.

Also, i'm just learning but there are tons of good posters here. Dmelt the mod is really good as well. He keeps this place clean and actually talks hockey/knows hockey. He's pretty cool too. He didn't even ban this guy Pez for making a callout thread. Just deleted it and moved on. Blackhawks board is the best board on CCS - great mods, helpful/knowledgable posters, canadians with funny humor who are friendly, the list goes on and on.

Sup HHM. Sorry for the delayed response to your thread. .. just got back from lunch at BWW. Had a medium order of Thai Curry wings. Not too spicy but the flavor was great. I tried a new fryscam BTW... halfway through my fries I complained they were cold so I got a a brand new, FRESH, order for free!

The Hawks have the exact opposite problem as the Rangers. Where in New York they have the 6BDITW and the WGITW... conversely the Hawks have the BGITW and the 4MTDITW (4 MOST TIRED DEFENCEMEN IN THE WORLD).

Score some god damn goals esp Toews and Saad who have been miserable so far this series. And for the love of god make sure Q isnt in his fucking happy go lucky **** the roster up moods ever again. He can change the top line though if he feels like it. Pretty sick of watching it fail.

It has always bothered me when people make the claim, oh Kane was the only person who knew the puck was in... no it's pretty clear to tell there are a particular other few who do. Sharp and Boynton see it and start celebrating immediately, hilariously Kane blows by Boynton as he tried to embrace him. But Kimmo also clearly saw it go in and reacted justly, and I think another Flyer did too. It's clearly there in the video.

yeah, we were talking about this earlier. Chicago has basically scored five goals in four games against Anaheim this series.
