What kind of monitor you got? Long term experience? Do you recommend it?
Im looking for a 4k monitor again. Something larger to consolidate current dual set up.
Currently have AOC 34" 3440x1440p 144 HZ ultrawide with a stacked 28" IPS 4k 60 HZ on top.
Since moving up from RTX 3070 to 4070 Super, 4k is more doable with DLSS. Use to 4k on lesser graphics cards on 32" 4k 60hz, so im fine making leap back to 4k daily driving. 4070 Super can push 100 fps 4k with DLSS @4k in a lot of games, so new monitor needs to be min 120hz
Been looking at a Samsung 43" 4k Neo G7 which is 144hz and Mini LED. Some ppl find it runs better at 120hz, which im good with. I can find the 32" curved version for similar pricing. Reviewers seem to love the 32" vs the 43", but 43" got the size im after.
Watched reviews and some ppl shit on the 43" Neo g7 because of UFO ghosting and response time. Part of the reason those things were shitted on IMO was the MSRP, these released at 1K. Price were reduced to 5-700 shortly after, Open box monitors can go for 399 but the one im looking at NEW around the 500 hundo mark.
When watching ppl record them gaming, the ghosting IRL is not really noticeable.
One thing I like about this monitor is that while it is 43" 16:9, can set screen to ultrawide game view which is 21:9. Essentially getting a 40" 5k2k Ultrawide screen when setting it to that 21:9. I prefer 21:9 when i can
However, where I live a comparable 5k2k costs 2-3x as much if HZ is atleast 120hz that is.
Monitors on almost all day so OLED not even in the thought process. Def will burn something in it quick.
The neo g7 also functions as a smart TV, not that I want it for that but its a thing.
Im nearly sold on it, unless you got something better for similar cost.
