This is an Apple+ mini-series they did about a hospital in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.

It was interesting the way they included archival footage of the actual events along with the dramatized scenes.

Dat bish str8 ganked like 20+ patients with morphine rather than see if a rescue worker could/would carry them.

Wild stuff.

Anyone else watch it?

Take that as a no lol.

I have zero ambition to subscribe to Apple TV, but I am sure it's some wild stuff. I lived in NOLA from 2001 - 2003 and had plenty friends that were still there for Katrina.

Not sure about this hospital, but I heard some seriously fucked up stories about the Super Dome after they turned into an emergency shelter.

I'll just say this.

You do not need to subscribe to Apple TV to see their shows any more than you do Netflix, Amazon, HULU, Disney+, etc.

Its just as gettable as shows on any other streaming service.

If you haven't seen the show Severance, its worth the effort.

Also as @Penny Traitor said the Super Dome was so much more tragic.

I've always been kinds astounded no one wanted to milk profit out of doing docu-series on all the Katrina nightmares.

True enough. A more accurate statement would have been no ambition to que up anything on Apple TV, but I will look into 'Severance'.

Spike Lee kind of knocked it out of the park with 'When The Levees Broke' way back in 2006, but with Netflix making bank on all these "docudrama" series...I won't be surprised if they go all in on that with the 20 year anniversary looming near.

Memorial hospital. I was born there. Used to be a great hospital that went to shit before Katrina. They, basically, killed my grandpa the year before Katrina and changed the medicals to try to act like they didnt give him the wrong medicine. Shit, maybe, it was that nurse.

Havent seen the show but heard about it.

I could tell yall stories for day about the shit that went on. It was a war zone and the people trying to help were being shot at left and right.

Arron Neville sister was raped in the dome, as well as, multiple other females and males. Basically, destroyed the whole inside of the dome.

Anna Pou was the doctor who gave the lethal injections.

She had 2 nurses with her.

The majority were patients of LifeCare, a hospital within Memorial that had lots of long-term care patients.

LifeCare got ignored/neglected (according to the show) through most of the chaos.

These people thought the end had come, and one doctor went into the basement and injected all of the pets to kill them, including his own dog.

When rescue came, they were told they had to be out of the building by 5pm, no questions, even dragged a lady away from her mother (LifeCare) to leave her to die.

Anna Pou went ahead and killed off the remaining LifeCare patients on the 7th floor and other Memorial patients who couldn't move.

They had dozens of other options IMO.... least of which was to gather all remaining patients in one spot and leave a handful of people to watch over them until additional rescue resources could arrive and/or water receded.

They made a point to show that nurses at Memorial did the hard work to move a 300lb dude up to the helipad to be evacuated.

So they could manage that, but no one could figure out how to lower these people out a window to a boat?

No one had the notion of how to build a pulley system up against the side of the building that hooks on to the corners of a gurney?

Crazy shit.
