Jassen Cullimore looks like he is going to start the season in the NHL. Right now it is Cullimore vs Leddy and even though the Bowmans love Nick Leddy and he has been really impressive he does not have a friendly cap hit (even without bonuses) and would be getting 3rd pairing minuets. I would love to see him make the team but with the available ice time on our blue line and his age it might be best to send him to Rockford to start the year even though he is good enough to be our 5th defensemen.

Morin is playing with Sharp and Kaner tonight, the closer we get to the start of the season the more it looks like Morin could start the year in a top 6 role with the team. Makarov and Beach being sent down really helps his chances because they may use Stalberg in a 3rd or 4th line role now.

If Leddy and Morin make the team I think we are easily the youngest team in the NHL, not to often you can say that to a team defending the Stanley Cup.

I like that Cullimore is still in camp, Should motivate him to have a great season in Rockford knowing that he can be a call-up away

Soupy's injury tonight may hold more weight for for Culli or Leddy.

Cullimore has no business playing in the NHL.

I just don't like the idea of a dude just out of college logging big minutes.

See there ya go, Joe...

A Leddy/Boynton or Scott pairing will not be playing the final minute of a game wherein the Hawks have a 1 goal lead.

Q won't do this. There are 4 much more capable defensemen who will see these minutes.

If Soupy is out for a while, I bet Leddy is on the 2nd pair. Probably with Hammer, but possibly even with Seabs if Q wants a bit of a safety net around Leddy. Hammer would be great with Keith temporarily if needed.

Yeah, I could see this also if Soupy needs time to recover.

Now that we know Campbell will be out 4-5 weeks, Leddy will probably be paired with Hammer.

In order to add Leddy to the team and keep 13 forwards and 7 defensemen (not including Capbell), I imagine the Hawks will have to utilize LTIR for Soup.
