Biggest issue with acquiring Jaylen Brown is you'd have to give him a giant contract extension. He's eligible with Boston to get a 5 year, $295 million extension. That's an absurd amount of money for a guy that I don't think is that level of player. The new CBA's luxury tax system is painful if you go over it and dedicating that much cap space to one player, that while very good, isn't great or an elite of the elite kind of guy (imo). I know he made 2nd team All NBA last season but he's not getting the best defender every night.
