The Hawks take on the Ducks and will try to end their three game losing streak. The Hawks downed the Ducks in a shoot out October 25 at the UC.



Better defense was the emphasis when the Hawks took on the Sharks the other night and the Hawks gave up only one goal but did not manage to hit the back of net themselves and suffered a 1 -0 lost. Let’s hope the Hawks get their offense untracked and get a much needed win in Anaheim.

There is absolutely no reason to lose this game. The Ducks are in a crisis and if the Hawks have the same effort they had last game they ought to emerge victorious.

I cant watch the game. But assuming that they have allowed 17 shots in one period is it safe to say that team defense has shit the bed again? So what the **** is up?

Awful start to the game and the first 40 mins wasn't anything worthwhile. Then the captain takes over and shows how it's done and powers the Hawks to a dirty win with a 2+2 effort in the third, totaling 2+3 for the game. Hattie for Sharpie as well.

But the Hawks need to get tighter defensively and come ready to these game, lately they've been finding themselves in a multi-goal hole to start off a game.



Now on to LA and win that game and come out of the circus trip with .500, which is respectable.

Not a happy ***** about 5 GA---this team has been porous all season. But they needed this win something fierce and points is points is points. On to Hellay.

We ended up needing Toew's PP goal, not pretty, but gritty, and a perfect example of willing the team on to victory.

Really upset I missed that game and esp the 3rd period. I did not like seeing the 17 shots against 2nd period game summary when I checked the score board. It was a real concern and frankly it still is. I am not enjoying the team defense at all and it's a major concern to me. It's one of the biggest differences btw this team and the one the last few years. As of right now the Hawks are playing worse defensively than they did last season at this point in my opinion. Needs to be corrected. Lucky this team can score but if you don't have a decent balance I don't think you go far. LOT's of time to correct the team defence though. LOTS and LOTS of time.



I am thrilled Toews took the game in his hand and I am thrilled that the Hawks didn't bail out like they did against the Oilers. It could be the spark the Hawks needed right now to regain some confidence. The 2 points is huge and we have a chance to make a .500 road trip which is respectable enough if you don't look at how the team lost in Alberta.



L.A. is not an easy win. I think it should be a fun game to watch. The 2 teams match up really well in my opinion. I am looking forward to it and there is no reason why the Hawks shouldn't put in a full effort tomorrow to end the trip. I see this game as a preview to something we might see in the playoffs this year. I have a feeling we will be facing the Kings at some point.

What a rollercoaster! Indeed a fun game to watch as the Hawks giving up two quick ones made it look like Edmonton all over. The Hawks had incredible chances and could not finish, it seemed we had a team of Stalbergs, but finally it gave way as Captain Serious took things in hand. The defence although porous at first started doing its job, mostly with active sticks and Duncan Keith returning to good form.



A fun game to watch for sure. Now lets take that momentum down the road and give it to the LAK.

Watching Toews in the third is the reason I love hockey. The guy just took over the game.

Funny that when he lost his lid, I thought, oh shit he is gonna score and be on the highlight reels... sure enough..

Can't really make up my mind as to whether that was a good performance or not. All I know is that coming back from 2-0 down to win on the road is never a bad thing. Felt like it should have been about 11-5 Hawks, though, and yet you really can't complain about six goals scored either... Bah.



The defense still needs sorting out. The team has to get a little more dogged in front of Crawford.
