Hawks and Blues will try to reignite their longtime rivalry. The Blues come into this game on a hot streak since putting Hitchcock behind the bench and the Hawks, although struggled in a shootout win last night come into this game finding it hard to put together a sixty minute effort since mid November. Tonight will be a big test for the Hawks in showing how they stack up against one of the better teams in their division.

Line changes will be the key, lost count how many goals have been scored against us because of trying to match up lines.

emery starts.

this seems to be another miss Q.....hehehehehehe see what I did there?

Emery again probably should have started last night and Craw tonight but meh....that's not even why I think it's a mistake. I think you need to ride Crawford a bit more on back to backs. Yah he's struggling a bit. Right now I think you have to infuse a little more confidence in him. That starts by giving him back to backs as a gesture.

Just my opinion. Who knows if it is the right or wrong decision anyways. Will know after the game.

I sure hope the Hawks find their spirit; it seems lacking as of late. If they play as they have recently it is oing to be a long night. Again I will site the goal tending as being a weakness. Watch Emery tonight, he cannot move side-to-side.

Welcome back David Perron. Hope you do well but just not tonight.

Q's getting out coached 10 minutes into the game. And he is out coaching himself. I can't follow this guys line match ups anymore. Stallberg goes from 1st line to 4th line within a matter of a shift and Carcillo has once again become Q's go to guy as a top 6 forward. I don't get it.

Another thing I noticed. We need another right handed shot on the blueline. I watch Leddy and Hammer being paired and 2 left handed shots as a pairing is a real bad idea in my opinion. Gets really sloppy when the play is low in our defensive end when you have 2 lefties trying to cover. May sound too simple but I think the lack of a right handed blueliner on that second pairing might be one of the issues with our defense. Just one of them.

I do like that the Hawks are showing some passion though and getting a bit chippy. Meyers is up for this game.

Despite it all it wasn't a horrible 1st period (although being out hit yet again). Perron was obviously going to score because he was all Eddie and Foley could talk about before he did score. Plus Perron always owns us regardless. His first game back in 90 plus games it's only fitting he did score.

WOW these officials need to be fucking fined!!!

great 2nd period despite being totally fucked up the ass by the officials. Always tastes good when you bounce back from a shitty no call that creates a goal against.

This is what Pez was talking about last night in chat. You play with some intensity and with some passion and guts and you will win most of the games you play. This second period is close to the best period of hockey this team has played this season so far. Love what I saw from everyone. Carcillo did his job and showed why he was brought here. NICE PERIOD BOYS!!!

Likely the best 2nd period we've played the entire season. Very well done. Can't complain at anything other than Q playing musical lines again.

Sharp on the point during the PP? REALLY, Q? =.= You're lucky he scored a goal from the point, lol

For true, that trip on Brunette that wasn't called had me throwing objects like a fucking 4 year old. BOTH refs saw too. Fucking pathetic on all accounts.

Haha, same here. Tried to explain to the wall next to me how dumb the refs was...

As said, one of our best games so far for sure. Man I hate the Blues but damn I like to beat them.

Nice to see Frolik play with some confidence again, he looked like when we first got him last year played great but didnt managed to get the puck in the net.

Good seats! Good game to be at.

It was Melissa's birthday present, so I'm glad they won. Seeing Perron's goal up close was neat too, even if he is a Blue. It was a great night in that no Blues fans were douchebags like they usually are.
