This is it, another tough grueling season comes to an end and the Hawks and Wing battle on Super Saturday while jockeying for playoff position. A win for the Hawks will give them the fifth seed with a match up with the Preds in the first round and a win for the Wings will give them a fourth or fifth seed depending on what the Preds do and also a match up with the Preds in the first round.

**** that. if this team doesn't put a solid effort in because they want to avoid nashville what does that say about team character?

after much thought and initially not wanting to the face the preds i have come to the conclusion that i actually dont give a shit. i sort of want the hawks to face them now i think beating them would be the best momentum a team could ask for.

playing the easier team first round is something only ranger players would cave a game for.

I'm not hoping they lose on purpose... I just hope the Wings win.

Good concept, but that's not Cleveland, and the ship is probably Diesel powered, not a Steamer.

Hey - it's not as if the Hawks can avoid the Preds they would get to play the Washington Generals. Smith in Phoenix and Quick in LA are playing every bit as good as Rinne, maybe even a little better than him coming down the stretch, and the other potential goalie matchup - Niemi, saves his "revenge is best served cold" games for the Hawks. So I hope the Hawks beat the Wings and go into the playoffs on an uptick.

Give a decent effort and no injuries, please. Pretty much any team that the Hawks can face have better goaltending and beat them in the season series (did not check that), so does it really matter?

Exactly....I don't get how everyone wants LAK or PHX; two of the top teams in the league in hitting and we all know how our beloved Hawks turtle up against physical teams.

NSH sits right at the bottom of the league in hits with our beloved Hawks and the Hawks have already proved they can score on Rinne because the Hawks two wins against the Preds they put 4 and 5 goals in those victories; plus Rinne post season numbers are pedestrian at best.

With patience the trap can be beaten because we surely don't have to worry about physical play from the Preds...Bollig took care of that already. If Crawford shows up, the Preds down in 6.

Folks keep wishing for LAK or PHX and you will get to watch you Hawks turtle up like sissies.

Maybe beating the trap is better than agonizing thru the "fetal position" defense - go Hawks!

I posted earlier that I prefer the Preds over any of the PacDiv teams. However, Nashville seems to be going through somewhat of a transition since they reacquired Radulov, after adding other significant pieces at the TDL. Maybe growing pains would be a more apt description because I think the Preds are in the process of growing into a better team, the question is when will all the pieces fit together and they become that well oiled Trotz machine. Hopefully it's next season before Radulov is seemlessly integrated into the Preds system. Although ... if the Hawks don't make the finals, I really wouldn't mind seeing the Preds go all the way.

You'd want to hear that crappy goal song throughout the playoffs? Are you insane?

Sick nasty move by Kaner, out-datsyuked Datsyuk. Nice pace to the game. 101 pts is a nice amount in a season.

If they won even 3 of those 9 games on that losing streak they're in the conversation for the President's trophy.
