Like to see a good defensive effort tonight. Really think our forwards all around need to help the D more than they have this year. The circus trip proved to be something that you really can't complain about, but overall this next month could position us for the playoffs.



And don't want to be overly optimistic or a jinx, but are we really gonna let the Yotes walk into the UC and take a W after being away for 2 weeks?

First home games back off a long road trip always seem to be tricky to predict. Think the Hawks should be able to win this one though. I actually think we could see a high scoring game. Keith will have a 4 point night because I delt him in my fantasy league. That's a given.

Would be soooo great if this team could find a 2nd line center so Kane could go back to the RW side. OR/ And then maybe a LW so Carcillo can get off that 2nd line.



I am having issues with that line now as it stands. I don't think Carcillo is the guy anymore for it on that LW side (I don't see him creating the ice that he was doing early in the season..infact I will go so far as to say Carcillo has become soft as a top 6 forward..he's not playing his game anymore). Was fun while the season started but now it's not making much sense. And I will stand by my thoughts that Kane is better suited for the RW side than he is center. I know there aren't any 2nd line centers out there for the taking though. So what do you do? Gotta find a LW for him.



Craw is def showing Sophmore goalie problems also.



3rd line is still lacking any scoring punch.



Toews line tonight didn't show up much like the rest of the team. Looked good for the first 10 minutes of the game then the entire team fell apart. Crawford didn't help but the entire game can not be placed all on his shoulders.



I have little issues with the 4th line.



The entire team is inconsistent. Don't know what team is going to show up anymore. It's an awkward team and the holes are glaring. To be honest I don't think anyone should be talking about this team being a cup contender right now. They don't have the swagger.



I know the first game back at home after a long road trip is tricky. But tonight was not a good effort at all. Not sure if there are that many great excuses for it..unless the team were stricken by the flu bug...at times it looked like they have been.

What a disaster! I cannot believe that our Hawks got outworked so badly. We could not win a one-on-one battle to save our lives.



Crawford is an average goalie. If the Hawks are not going full bore, he cannot be relied upon to be a difference maker.



I agree with TCD, I am done with the Carcillo experiment. He cannot create the space or supply the grit we had hoped for a top line. Put him elsewhere where he can rediscover why he was brought here.



We may need a defence man with the cap space we have although I was hoping for a top forward, or a centre.
