After being completely and utterly depressed yesterday after seeing the Bulls crumble yet again I had this strange thought. What if, in spite of the shame associated with such an event, it was better for the Bulls to lose game 5 and get more time to rest. I don't know...it just seems that even if we manage to pull off a miracle and win out the last 3 games we're just going to get manhandled by either Boston or Miami at this point. The team looks beat up, lethargic, and doesn't really seem to be playing with energy out there. Maybe it's better for guys to get some rest and get healthy for next season.

Noah is probably going to need half the summer to get fully right from his ankle injury if it was as bad as I saw it to be. Hamilton could use time to heal and get his conditioning back as well. Watson has been fighting through some nagging injuries as well, and possibly Taj too. It's going to be a long and hard road getting back to form next season, especially without Rose and no guarantee that the FO will do anything to try to get a good replacement or even more offensive help. The team needs everyone to be at full strength for us to even sniff a top 3 seed imo.

Maybe I'm just being a downer, but after seeing how the Bulls have played the last 3 games, I almost don't want to watch them anymore. It's just downright painful to watch the team struggle like this. I definitely will hope that they win game 5, but I don't even know if that's will spark some into this team. Philly has all the momentum...we're just handing them games now.

There are a lot of banged up teams in the playoffs. You play to the end...period.

Noah's ankle will heal over time. It won't take a long time for that to happen. Deng tanks this game...then goes to the Olympics? Don't like that. They have to show some pride.

We knew the whole time he was going to be playing in the Olympics no matter what. That's why I didn't really mention him. He's gotta have that wrist issue fixed eventually though, it's really hindering his game imo.

Yeah I would prefer that they don't roll over and die, but so far they haven't shown me any indication that they have the heart or pride to play up to their ability. BS calls only go so far...you have to play well. So far this team has not played anything remotely close to that. If any game was a chance for them to show some pride it was last night.

If the Bulls do loose game 5, I hope they at least go down fighting.
There is absolutely no respect in tanking a game just to get a series over to rest.
That would really make the Bulls look like ******.

Like Hue said, you fight tell the end..........period or else you don't belong in the NBA..

I don't care if they win or loose as long as they give it there best effort....THEY MUST SHOW PRIDE FOR BEING A MEMBER OF THE BULLS ORGINIZATION OR ELSE THEY SHOULDN'T WEAR THE RED, BLACK AND WHITE.....

I would much rather go down 4-2 than 4-1.

Best way to go about it is a game at a time from this day forward.
Win game 5 and take it from there and see what happens.

The Bulls must win game 5 to maintain the team respect they worked hard to achieve.

And another thing, Thibbs should start Mike James the next game and bring Watson off the bench for offensive spark....or pla him at the 2 guard position with James.

And another thing, the Bulls have not lost 4 in a row under Thibbs since he's been here.
Why start now?

They have too lost 4 in a row..They lost 4 straight to Miami last year..much like they will to Philly this year.

The #Bulls have never in franchise history rallied from a 3-1 deficit to win a playoff series, failing in all five attempts.

Never the less, the Bulls better fight until the end.

Just to clarify, I never said the Bulls should give up the game or tank it, just that the outcome of losing game 5 is better for the team than winning at this point.

We should win the championship next year. Thibs will have us good enough for the 6th seed or so, then we'll get Rose and Deng back right before the playoffs. we'll be the healthiest team in the nba.

i agree with alot of this..i think it's hard to argue that the bulls aren't the most banged up team(and depleted in term of important players)
