Im sorry Im posting these lame threads from years ago. But I was digging through my photbucket getting nostalgic. Here is a GDT I did from the Oboard from 07/08? im guessing, I put too much damn work into these things. and yes this boarderlines on hawk talk, lets all get nostalgic about the good ole days when we sucked and were about to be good.

Havlat was injured?

Umpossible!!

Funny I remember that game. I had to go to a friends house to have dinner, left with about 5 mins left in the 3rd (which sucked) and I made it there in time to watch Toews (I believe it was him) score the OT goal.

I loved that season 3 years ago. There was that winning attitude and energy you could taste. A feeling that was gone for such a long time. I didn't miss one game that year via internet, television or radio (and it was my real first time experiencing Troy and John on the radio and getting to really know their style). I can almost remember each game. Kane and Toews infused so much into the team that year.

Besides the cup win that first year of Kane and Toews has been my favorite time being a Hawks fan. Even surpassed some of the great seasons in the 80's and 90's for me. I also think meeting all you ehfers had made it even better being a fan.

whats funny, when I look at that team, stick havlat and bork back in that lineup and it seems like a pretty stacked team(all players playing like they do now aside from lang i dont know where he is now, as that was still fire drill keith time, although im getting flashbacks lately with his current play).

Perrault could win faceoffs! Samsonov...well, was samsonov. Now that I think about it he was alot like stalberg with even worse hands.

I miss Patrick Lalime. He always seemed like such a classy guy and was definitely easy on the eyes.

He was a much happier guy once he got his teeth replaced in Buffalo. Class act, even if he wasn't a very good goalie.

I don't think I was here to remember that... I'd love to see the old threads like that pop up during the summer. Gives us something to talk about, lol

Other than the cup winning team the 07-08 team was my favorite. Probably because it was the last year of all the good times of going to all the games and there not being billions of idiots who know nothing about hockey at those games. PSR, Gene Foley, and I pretty much had the upper deck all to ourselves, bought 8 dollar tickets, sat wherever we wanted, and then I could spend 20 bucks on the Nacho Grande(who I miss dearly). Also was kind of cool seeing the franchise turn around like it did.

Zyuzin though.... yeesh. Best heckle I heard at the UC that year was on older guy in the 300 level screaming at the top of his lungs "Hey Zyuzin, hit em with you're purse". Don't know why but that was fucking hilarious at the time.
