Patrick Kane ended the Blackhawks abysmal 0-for-39 run on the power-play but it would stand as the lone tally for Chicago on the night.

Ray Emery started for the Blackhawks, but had very little offensive support to help him out. Outshot by the largest margin this season (38-19), Chicago had major issues getting the puck out of their end and sustaining any sort of effective puck possession.

After the Ducks rallied ahead of the Hawks 2-1, they resorted to trapping, which gave the Hawks fits through the neutral zone. Needless to say, they played it near perfection and even added another goal to pad their lead 3-1.

Once again the Blackhawks follow up a positive (PP goal) with a negative (awful defensive game), the inconsistency displayed lately has to be frustrating but also understandable with captain, #1 center, and Hawks MVP Jonathan Toews out of the line-up along with top four defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson, and depth players such as Steve Montador and Daniel Carcillo.

BLACKHAWKS THREE STARS OF THE GAME

1. Patrick Kane

2. Nick Leddy

3. Marian Hossa

Didn't watch. Hawks are uninteresting right now and just add an unhealthy stress. Not jumping off the ledges or off the bandwagon..just needed a good night away from the team.

Maybe tomorrow something will be done to help this mess. Doubt it, but one can keep some hope alive.

We're both the same way. I ended up shopping like crazy JUST to avoid seeing today's carnage.

I had it on for a bit, was not pretty. Here's hoping we lose the rest of the season, miss the playoffs and FIRE THE FUCKING COACH

We deserved the loss, but really, I think the guys in the war room need to learn basic geometry, and/or play a round of billiards or mini golf.

That 1st Ducks goal was kicked in.

Still, it's no reason for the wheels to fly off.

Scotty, I think you need another talk with Q.
