Most of you guys know that I am Serbian. Since Serbs don't celebrate Christmas until January 7th, my Christmas is almost here! :D

Anyway, I found this good article describing Serbian traditions on Christmas (most of which my family partake in), and I figured I put it here if anyone was interested in other world cultures (like I am. lol)

Serbian Christmas Traditions - How Serbians Celebrate Christmas - Serbian Christmas Customs and Recipes

Merry Serbian Christmas!

In case you didnt know it...Chicago is like the Serbian center of North America

This article describes Serbian Orthodoxy in Chicago, and even mentions the monestary at Libertyville which is home to the only European monarch buried on US soil....he was the king of Yugoslavia before WWII, and he escaped here and later died. The people who fought to keep the king in power (rather than the communists) were the chetniks, and many of them (including my grandfather) are buried in that same graveyard with their leader they fought for.

Calendar says Christmas for Lake County
