A MLB Re-Draft

I'm just doing a poll to see if there is any interest.

The Re-Dreaft is basically a fantasy drafts. The GM selects the players he wants to buil a World Series contender. With lots of participation these games are very fun.

Its by voting, every GM votes in each division who wins, then all the teams who didn't win are in wild card voting

From responses I have gotten there would be more in this than the NHL one. Since we are a smaller site we could cut it into leaugues and make an American League Re-Draft or NL Re-Draft. For example in the NHL Re-draft we only have 10 GM's, which I think we might have to all be in the same conference and pick players within that conference so its not a bunch of dream teams. It all just depends on how much participation we get, and that determines your teams

sim leaugues u need 30 active people....i run one and its tough finding 30 ACTIVE people. Im always kicking people in and out.....(if someone interested in sim league though PM me)

Sim leagues take time, re-drafts don't.

I know they take a while and you don't need thirty people. Plus would bring activity to the league.

Redrafts are great because they are quick but deciding a winner is a popularity contest or an opinion.

Sims at least you have a way to see who wins and it's about how you run a team long term rather than one draft.

Sim leagues are great I've been in a few and ran the one on PSD for about twenty seasons. I have no desire to join one but I think it would be a good way to gain activity for the site.

Its a bit late for a mock offseason since most of the big transaction are gone.

I also agree with the voting and how it is a popularity contest, 1 thing around that though is to have the voters state why they voted the way they did, that usually points to the BS'ers.

Sounds like this is getting some interest, I'm not familiar with runing a sim leaue, but I will do the Re-drafts, Mock Deadlines, and Mock Offseasons if we get the participants
