Patrick Kane will face his home town team the Buffalo Sabres, Kane will be looking to get some much needed scoring against the team he rooted for as a kid. The Hawks come into this game picking up points in their last five games played. The Hawks have called up Ben Smith to replace Carcillo who has been placed on IR; the Hawks are hoping Smith can contribute like the other rookies, Shaw and Hayes. Corey Crawford will be in net for the third straight game.

Only problem is with Miller asking to be traded, we will be hearing a shit ton about him maybe coming to the Hawks now. Guess it's gonna start earlier then later...

There will be a few teams involved in rumors (I didn't know he actually asked for a trade). Tampa will be involved. Ducks may be involved if they wanted to move Hillar. Oilers (Khabi doesn't have the years left in him). Columbus. These would be my toop guesses. Hefty freaking contract for any of these teams though and it would involve giving up to get. I could see the Ducks doing it. They have some cap space there could be a package of Hiller/Perry for Miller and bodies. Not out of the question. Im not sure if he has a no trade clause which allows him to veto or pick either. That would make it very difficult to move him. Not a lot of teams in need of a starter esp at 6 mill a year.

Anyways the game....I actually think this will be a good one. Kane will have a big game. he better have a freaking big game because my fantasy team is ready to get him back and getting me much needed points!!!

I think history has shown that having high-paid goalies rarely works out. They are seeing it in Buffalo. A couple of better than average years and they throw money at the goalie. Look what is happening in Philly. Luongo? Chicago with Khabibulin and Huet? The days of paying $4+M to a goalie are over and that money is rather spent on depth.

Carcillo on IR.

DIE
Ahhh I had assumed since his injury was a while ago that they had filled his spot with one of the other rookies. Well good, more talent to showcase. Let's hope they get the right people in the press box.

60 minute effort = win

And if somebody would like to check Stafford over the boards that would be bonus points (Still remember his blind side hit on Keith a few years ago).
