Viktor Stalberg wasn't exactly the hero as he has been in the past five match-ups against Columbus, he was finally outshined by a few other Blackhawks. Most notably Patrick Sharp and Duncan Keith.

Sharp popped 2 goals on the night while Keith enjoyed himself a 4-point game.

Marian Hossa also grabbed his 900th career point as the Hawks cruised past the Blue Jackets 5-1.

Shaw impresses me more and more every game. Very disciplined drawing that penalty on Dorsett then was instrumental screening Mason for the resulting PP goal.

This team is finally firing on all cylinders.

Hawks were outhit 38-10

HAHA!

They had the puck plenty, unfortunately for the Jackets Steve Mason can't stop a fucking beach ball. If not for the THREE posts it would have been a LOT uglier for them!

another game Crow should have had a SO. I noticed Seabs go apologize to him after it went in. Either way, a W is more important.

Read the box score, did ya? Kudos.

heres a box score

columbus sucks sooo bad

hawks actually were worse in many stat areas. Less take aways and more giveaways also less faceoff wins.

That shit wont fly against a good team. Usually when the hawks win the give aways are less and rhe take away stats are in our favour. Not all the time but usually.

Its a nice two points but its columbus. Canucks will be a tougher game.

Fun game to watch once again. I am glad to see the hawks get off to another good start. It is unfortunate that Crawford did not get the shut out, for this I blame Kane! The Hawks called for icing the puck, took a time out to rest the team, Kane and Hossa among them. As the hawks soon gain control of the puck and work it out of their own end, Kane, instead of dumping it deep and getting a line change decides to try to beat three BJ's. The puck is turned over and soon back in our own end, Kane and Hossa are still on the ice. If Kane does not try to make the highlite reel there, the puck is dumped and there are fresh bodies on the ice, not ones that had bee on since before the time out.

I can't help but see Doug Gilmore every-time I see a close up of Shaw. His face and size are very similar IMO.

Great game against a poor opponent, who nearly beat the Nucks in their own barn last weekend.

Columbus is incredibly shit and the Hawks were on their game so the result was pretty clear from the get-go. Stålberg could have had a couple of goals had those post shots gone in, so he still has that odd CBJ mojo. Shaw keeps playing great and hopefully he can sustain it and not peter out as he did on his last stint with the team. I like where this team is heading considering that the playoffs are just around the corner Obviously the Canucks will be a different beast, but if the Hawks can keep it going I could see them emerge victorious against them. The Canucks are in a slump but ought to get some jump facing the Hawks, if not then I would start to worry if I were a Canuckle. They can rationalize that they are saving themselves for the playoffs, but getting going again could be tricky. A first round exit for the Canucks would warm my heart.

Nice win. Congrats on Hossa getting his 900. Now, would someone please teach Seabrook not to turn the puck over--Apparently he slept through the lecture to Keith.

Shitty game by Stalberg...he only got 1 assist--against the Blue Jackets!

I think we should trade Toews! When was the last time he scored a goal?

Glad to see Keith removed his head from his ass this game...that's the kind of production and D-game we need from him.
