The once unstoppable Minnesota Wild brings their talents or lack of talent lately to the UC to face the Blackhawks. The Wild and Hawks last met on December 14 when the Wild were the number one team in the Conference, since then the Wild have fallen to the seventh position in the standings and are three points away from looking in from the outside. The Hawks come into this game with a win over the lowly Blue Jackets Tuesday night with Stalberg pulling off the hat trick; the win also ended a four game losing streak by the Hawks. Coach Q will be throwing Emery in net for this game to get some needed action.

Well, I've not been unhappy with Scott's play this year, so I'm glad he's getting a shot. Knowing Q, he'll get 1:23 of icetime total. Hammer and Leddy will continue to play bad in the backend (along with most of the FWDS), meaning Keith and Seabrook will need oxygen after the game.



My prediction: We'll need offense tonight, if we find it difficult to get the puck in the net, we'll lose a low-scorer. If we can score, it will be something more akin to 5-4 in favor of us.

Well, my buddy got tickets from his Uncle and we would be in the 200 level... if only Metra didn't have to decide no trains on the west line would not be getting past Franklin Park on the account of a gas leak. My car doesn't like snow and at this point I wouldn't make it to the UC till 830-9.
