I have no problem with ads on uniforms if they follow some rules.

1.Not many logos. One is enough. I would say in front of the jersey but because the front part is traditionally with the team's name in the NBA it could be nice a logo in the back.
2.The money each team will get from the ad will be the same and the teams that can get bigger deals will give the difference in charity.
3.The logos will make the jerseys cooler. Ugly logos or logos that mislead the eye won't be allowed.

It's why all the soccer teams overseas are able to pay their players such ridiculous salaries. They don't rely as heavily on internal revenue generation. They have a lot of corporate sponsors. Besides, the lockout occurred because a large majority of the teams simply do not generate the kind of revenue needed to make a profit with a 30-team league. It's the main reason why contraction was discussed.

Having one of two teams "sponsor" a team and have their logos on the jerseys would help the smaller market teams, while helping generate a consistent stream of revenue outside of tickets and television deals.

Those chop-shops don't represent what a well-done sponsored NBA jersey would look like.

I think it would be cool if the teams had advertising on Summer League and Pre-Season uniforms. Then allow sponsors on warm-ups. But leave the regular season and post-season jerseys alone.
