In the past few days I've gotten a couple invitations to this forum. And as you might know, I'm already active in the forum and it got me thinking.

Maybe don't spam as much when on twitter, but pick select people who might be interested and tell them about the site.

I like that you're bringing new posters to the site, but spamming gets annoying. I just think finding a new way to get people on twitter to come here would work better. Make it more personal.

I have a $150 twitter advertising program, I don't intend to let it go to waste.

You receiving multiple messages just means that you were in different demographics. Right now I have 3 "tweet blasts" going telling people about CCS.

Everybody who follows the White Sox, Blackhawks, and Bulls are getting messaged right now. I'm messaging over 300,000 people in a 90 day span that it takes to cycle through them all.

In advertising on the internet, you might annoy some people. Sometimes that translates to good posters. I annoyed fisch about joining for months, and one day he finally did and now he's one of the most active posters here. Same goes for many other guys who post.

If somebody gets "bent out of shape" over a couple messages on a social media site, to which they display their information openly, they aren't the type of person that I would want on the site anyway.

As for it being more personal, it definitely makes more sense. However from trial & error, that proved to have little success as well. Our site account @chicitysports23 I used to use daily, we would have about 50-75 tweets out a day about random stuff and interacting with people. It never worked. The guys I talked to on there DAILY, always said they would get around to it and no posters came out of that endeavor of posting on Twitter daily for over 2-3 months.

You've only been targeted because you're within our demographic ;) I only posted so much because advertising is one of my hobbies. I have partook in a lot of trial & error type deals until I found the right system that works.

Thats how you got me too. Always sending messages from the Chicago Bulls facebook group. I would have likely ignored your spamming though if PSD hadn't pissed me off.

But since they did, I thought of you as a Chicago forum I could be removed from pesky annoying fans of other teams (especially the up and coming bandwagon of the Miami Heat).

You piss some people off, but the few people you end up bringing in make that worth it. Those people you piss off weren't going to come here anyways, so screw them.

I understand, I just figured that it was random people from the site.

I'm not pissed off or anything. Just thought that it would work better if it was more personal, but that's why I'm not in PR or anything like that.
