They will have won the division. Do you rest Trubs or any healthy players on offense against the Vikings? I say no, rest the defense. The offense needs to catch a rhythm and keep it going into the playoffs. Doesnt matter if they win or how many points they give up.
No, I wouldn't rest any starters unless...

1. The game is meaningless to our Playoff Seeding.
2. The game is already put away in the 4th Qtr.

Playing at home is crucial. The way I see the remaining schedule concluding, the Bears will be playing to win every remaining game because of Seeding. Bears are mathematically in play for 1st Seed. Cowboys are 1 loss behind Bears, Boys owning the Tie-Breaker. At the moment I don't see any NFC team resting starters.

No resting, Dallas can easily tie us and get the 3rd seed.

This exactly. The easier road to the NFC title game would be beating Minn. at home and then beating the Rams on the road. 4th seed means playing a dangerous and confident Seahawks team and then going on the road to play N.O. in that dome. Scenario 2 is much harder in my opinion.

How much do we really care that Dallas gets the 3 seed? If we have to go there in the NFC championship, we probably ended up benefiting more from the 4 seed anyway. Seattle's defense is real good but so are the other defenses in line to win the 6 seed. Seattle scares me less on offense than Minnesota, Carolina, or the Eagles. Minnesota has Kirk who can get hot, and 4 big weapons in Cook, Diggs, Thelien, and Rudolph.

I miss this....

I believe that "we" in regards to your personal investment inside of a sports team of which you are a fan is a pretty "cringy" thing to say in regards to the team like when they beat an opposing rival or really any team or like when you are looking forward to a match-up and are like "we are going to stomp the Packers" but I will make an exception for the occasional usage of this sort of inclusion if you are actually of the stature and physical prowess to actually be capable yourselve, of stomping the rival team or even just one of the players on that team but if you can't or are too scared to do something like that, like even a NFL kicker or return specialist then you should probably leave yourselve out of the "we." I myself don't ever even say "we" even though I have taken krav maga and could literally palm strike Aaron Rodgers right into his nose-bone and break it off inside of his brain with literally zero effort and if I missed I could literally judo throw him over my knee, stomp his mid-section and choke him out or at a minimum arm-bar his arm with a arm-bar lock and break it if he was too proud to tap-out.

Why would you do such a thing? He had the warrior spirit. I mean come on, nobody else could literally arm-bar an arm with an arm-bar lock.

There are voices in my head but it's not me....I believe it to be the warrior spirit and it said I need do what had to be done. I'm not proud of it but just have to do what I have to do...kinda like taking out the garbage.

If they want the 3 seed the need to play this season out with the starters.

Yep. Make sure you get home field advantage for NFC Championship over Dallas just in case.

What position do you all hold within the Chicago Bears organization?
Do fans saying "we" really irk you?

I'd honestly have to say, where have you been? It's the essence of being a sports team fan to make a team 'your own'. Grab your Sociology textbook and call it what you like: tribalism, transference, delusional, etc... duh, that's what it is, nobody is in the closet about it, not really. I'd suggest you get used to it. The cringe is in you.

That's what I'm saying. It's not an intelligence issue. They know they aren't on the team. It's a traditional convention. They look unintelligent to you, not to most people. And not to most intelligent people, who know it's a common convention.
