AJ Pierzynski is on the DL for the first time in his 10 year career. Now that shows some toughness! It really is an amazing accomplishment when you look at it. He is a catcher, arguably the toughest day to day position, is a chippy player, and plays almost all the time. Now that deserves a round of applause

Very true. AJ is the man. So tough. I was hoping he would make it his whole career without the DL, but you can't avoid a fracture.

It can't be that horrible of a fracture because I saw on the pre-game yesterday that he was playing video games on the internet with soldiers over seas. Obviously holding a controller vs catching/hitting is completely different but it gives me hope that he can come back strong.

yeah, that would really be something if he was able to go his whole career without going on the DL.

yeah, its not that bad of an injury, he was DTD for a while, and now its on a 15 day DL type injury. nothing too bad.

I'm praying  that he never gets injured again. Then we can have him catching and flowers as the DH, put Rios and Dunn on the bench.

Yeah. He probably can grip things, but the hitting of the ball would probably hurt his wrist.

Meanwhile, Flowers is doing pretty damn nicely in his absence. Atleast at the plate :)
