We don't have much of an option now.

I don't know, bringing back AJ I think depends on what happens with the rest of the guys the Sox are looking to acquire/retain, and really how big of a contract he wants and how long he wants to be signed. If the team is committed to making a go of things this season, and either acquires Dunn or brings back Konerko, I don't think I would see much harm in bringing back AJ, as long as the price is right (we're talking $3-5 MM).

Preceded by...

AJ Pierzynski...33 years old, career OBP of .324, 207 BB in 13 seasons (ack!).

do you have a better option at this point? flowers isnt ready, olivo blows, and yes i heard he is such a good defender.....hence leading the league in pass balls. at this point there really is no option.

I guess, but is some other team going to spend $5million/yr on AJ at this point? Sounds like Hendry-nomics to me...

The Catcher postion is going to be bad either way next season no matter if aj comes back or we get another option :(
