Cool. Now they really have to fix up the ballpark too so the players will stop complaining about the facilities.

I think that's the plan, isn't it?

Oh I think they will - but I don't believe we're going to be giving out deal's like Soriano has...or like Pujols just got. I don't see Thoyer giving 7 yr deals knowing the last 3 years are gonna be a liability.

Nice to hear our young guys are off to a fast start! Hopefully we'll get a peek at them later this year.

Jax is ready but cubs are waiting(byrd to be traded)...rizzo most likely will be 1st baseman next year

Jackson is still swinging and missing at a lot of AAA pitchers. He might be ready, but it isn't hurting anything letting him work on making contact more. Rizzo will get a call this year. It is just a matter of when.

After the cutoff date for that extra year of service, I am guessing. Just like they did with Castro. Rizzo will be a little later since LaHair isn't completely sucking and he also had that stint in SD.

Both Jackson and Rizzo will get a call soon. I wouldn't be surprise if Castillo does too.

None of them will get a call until they have a spot open full time. Byrd and Soto have to start hitting so people will actually take them and maybe Soriano too since LaHair isn't god awful at the plate.

Yeah the stint in SD really means that Rizzo is likely to get an extended stay in Des Moines. Not a terrible thing since LaHair isn't terrible right now.

Yeah I know that ... soon I was referring to late May - early June. Byrd will be gone soon I would imagine. Rizzo won't be in minors all year and probably be in the majors by the latest at the all-star break. They will have to figure out what to do with LaHair. Also, if Soto does not hit, I think they wil trade him for whatever they can get for him.
