Bears are interviewing Alan Williams for DC. I figure Eberflus will be calling the plays on defense.

Vikings D in 2013, which Williams was DC, was terrible. 32 out of 32 in points.

So I guess Borgonzi will be the LB coach and not be promoted to DC? Hmm, I thought they were bringing him in as DC.

Not play calling and focusing on building the team as a whole, what a novel concept for a head coach.

The guy can take his ego out of it and trust someone else to run the offense, unlike Nagy who just couldn't help himself, had to continue meddling.

Since Eberflus said that he is only coaching and not calling plays, this does make a bit of sense as I truly dont believe he will NOT be involved in plays and/or schemes. So might as well get a guy he worked with in Indy. This makes sense if you believe Flus will have a major impact in the scheme at least. So you create the scheme and have this new DC run it for Flus.

Plus, at least you know the guy will be able to run Flus' defense and will need little tweaking if needed with the help of Flus.
