I don't really think we have anyone worthy of it at this point, and I'd rather the Fire players get to rest than play in a meaningless game against some asshole team from England.

So the All-Star game is like East v. West? Its MLS All-Stars v. an EPL team? Is the MLS that bad compared to Europe?

The MLS began play in 1996, so we're still growing. We aren't terrible compared to Europe, but we face big name teams... Barcelona, Manchester United, etc. basically are All-Star Teams,

I do remember seeing a couple of years ago, the Manchester United lost to Sporting KC 2-1 I believe and the whole crowd was rooting for United despite the game being played on US soil, despicable

Ya, tends to be the case. We (Fire) were beating them too until we put in out whole reserve team.

Nah, it was Rooney, Rafael, and Nani each with a goal, all scored in the 2nd half against our reserve team. Granted, they didn't put Rooney in until the 2nd half, so who knows how he'd have done against our starters.

It's just hard for any team, even an all-star team, to get together and immediately be all that great, so a single club team could stand a chance or win. Not that the Fire would stand a chance against an EPL all-star team.

If we had Grazzini or if Alex can take his role, we have decent chances against Aston Villa though.

I bet Pappa will make the team and the only FIRE player, if there was a second which I don't we will get two it will be Oduro.

Ranking FIRE players.....

1.Grazzini (is out of the country, if the FIRE didn't drive him away he would of made the team)
2.Rolfe (wasn't here long enough/didn't play enough games/minutes)
3.Pappa (Will make the All-Star Team)
4.Alex (wasn't here long enough)
5.Oduro (If we do get a second it will be Oduro)
6.Nyarko
7.Pardo
8.Berry
9.Friedrich
10.Johnson
11.Segares
12.Gargan
13.Pause

Yes, all the games are televised. Games are on CSN, Nonstop Chicago 5.2 (you need an antenna for this channel, free TV), ESPN/ESPN2, NBCSN, and Galavsion (Spanish)

Saturday's game is on CSN...

Go to chicago-fire.com they have the rest of the TV schedule.

You can get NBC Nonstop with Comcast too, not just antenna.

That's a pretty arbitary ranking. Berry over Friedrich? That's a laugh. Pardo should be ahead of both Nyarko and Oduro, and Johnson should be much higher on the list. That being said, it's really pretty difficult and/or pointless to compare Defensive talent with Offensive, and rank a Goalie against any of that.

Once Berry made the starting 11 he's started and played every minute since and has scored two goals (12 games 1,080 minutes). Friedrich has played 9 games starting 8 of them for 642 minutes. Berry the rookie has out played Friedrich the World Cup veteran. I like Pardo, but he hasn't outplayed Nyarko and Oduro, all of them are having average years, but Oduro, Nyarko and then Pardo are about right in that order. As for Johnson he's have two or three very good games, but he's have two or three bad goods also.

If Rolfe is played as a forward, than #2 might be to low. With Rolfe up to and Alex/Grazzini as CAM, Rofle will start scoring goals, he's not a CAM.
