OK folks, I found it. The all time best coffee maker you can buy when cost, ease of use, and time to brew have to be considered. I got this a month ago and the only better brew I have ever had is from a vacuum or cold brew coffee maker.
The difference is, this thing costs 20 bucks, is very portable, cleans up in 10 seconds without getting grinds in the sink, and makes a full travel mug in less than 2 minutes. Its perfect for replacing the shitty coffee at work. With the aeropress, you use an espresso grind so you save money on coffee too.
I have been a long time french press user, and this thing whoops a french press's ass.
There is a cylinder/chamber with a cap that screws onto the bottom. The cap holds a filter circle. You load the coffee from the other end, add water, let it sit for one minute, then use a plunger to press the coffee through the filter.
Its similar to a french press except for a few key things. First, you are pressing the coffee out of the grounds, through a filter. This allows you to use the finest ground you can get without getting chunks in your mug. Which means the coffee steeps very fast and does not pick of the acidity from having to brew too long. Also, cause you can use such a find ground, you can use a lower temp water. The plunger makes a very strong seal. You can load enough coffee in, that you can make a 12oz mug of straight espresso with almost no acidity. I think it tastes better than an espresso machine.
At my work, they have bullshit fucking keurig machines. I can run one of those twice to get the hot water to fill my aeropress and it works perfectly.
Also, when you are done, you just unscrew the cap and push the plunger the rest of the way through to eject the "puck" into the trash. I shit you guys not, this thing is amazing. Here is a fucking video:

By the way, this guy does a nice demo, but he is wrong about the ground. Use the finest you can get and use the paper filters.
