Wow I love Amare but I dont know if I would do that if I was Minny. Both are a little injury prone but Al i so much younger and doesnt have the Diva attitude.

Thats horrible for Minnesota. Jefferson is a much better rebounder and can play withhis babck to the basket. Most importantly, he can play C and they can start Love with him.

I think the rumor is complete BS.

The Wolves wouldn't do this unless Amare agrees to an extension. Amare doesn't seem likely to want to agree to one with the Wolves.

Talentwise, I don't think it's so bad, but Amare doesn't fit the Wolves, he wants to win now, and the Wolves don't have the other pieces necessary to do that.

Amare always wanted to be the leader of his own team however like you said he does want to win a title but Minny doesnt have much talent around.

But lets ignore the extension and the win now factor, what happens to Love? Who plays C? How will Amare produce as the #1 option instead of having a lot created by Nash?

I would have to go Amare at the center and Love at the PF. As for Amare as the #1 option I think he would love it.

I'm not saying that its something he will hate but Amare hasn't been a #1 before. Also, Amare has said before he doesn't want to play C.

He has said that. Love is to undersized to be a full time center. Your right he hasnt been a #1 but I think is he stays healthy he would do a very good job.

I could definitely see an Amare for Jefferson swap. (This trade would be similar to Steve Francis for Tracy McGrady and Jason Kidd for Stephon Marbury). But no way that #6 pick is going with Jefferson.

Agree. Maybe a guy like Foye or maybe even a McCants but no #6.

I disagree, all of those trades were bum for star. Jefferson is younger and put up about the same numbers. Personally, I'd rather have Jefferson on our team.

Amare Stoudemire over the past 5 years has about a 10% higher TS% than Al Jefferson in Minnesota. Those players are not close. Jefferson is scoring his points at a mediocre efficiency. Amare Stoudemire is the best big man scorer, and probably overall scorer in the entire NBA.

I'm not arguing that but Jefferson is younger and a better rebounder, If we could get him on this team I would be excited. He is definetly a notch below amare on offense but all the other factors to me make up the difference, I mean you have attitude, rebounding, age and probably a health advantage. Lets also not discount the financial aspect. The trade is AJ+6 for Stat. Stat is going to want a 120 mill extention and that will equate to AJ + almost a MLE contract.

I'd love to have Al Jefferson on this team as well. Our front court has been such crap for so long, it would be great to add a player of Jefferson's caliber.

But between Jefferson and Amare, I'm taking Amare Stoudemire, as long as the Hoops World reports about Amare's eye falling out and Amare now wearing a pirate eye patch turn out to be false.

Your entitled to that but I would rather have the younger, better rebounding and less of an injury risk in Jefferson. You are also counting on Amare returning to his domaniant performance of the past. If not, he doesn't have a significant offensive advantage.

Your not taking into account the supporting cast for both players are you?

I'm a fan of both players and every time I watch Al he is being double and triple teamed the same can't be said for Amar'e, who gets a lot of easy buckets because of his supporting cast(especially Nash) and the system they run. He gets a lot of dunks and wide open jumpers because of those factors. Amar'e has it a LOT easier than Al does.

Al is a monster, even when doubled and tripled he still puts up ridiculous numbers, he can't be stopped on the post and right now he is a slightly better player because he has more weapons to go to offensively not mention he is the much better rebounder. Can you imagine the numbers Al would be putting up if his supporting cast as on par with Amare's, he'd be an all-star every year? Right now Al Jefferson is the best low post player in the game and few people know this because he plays in Minnesota.
