Yes, yes he has.
I've liked what he's done since being called up originally (mainly going to the net and not being scared of any situation) but thought he needed to stop putting himself in position to get hammered to the ice so much. He was often taking a pounding and successful players know how to minimize that kind of stuff.
But holy smokes, what really changed my mind on him was seeing him in person at the Blues/Hawks game where the Hawks came back to win after getting down 3-1. Shaw was the difference in that game. Every shift he was hitting anyone he could and Q clearly liked it because his ice time took off in that game (or at least it felt like it because he was very noticeable).
Shaw just gets it. He works hard and he's been fortunate enough to see how hard work can result in points on the score sheet. Have to give a lot of credit to the coaching staff for sending him back down for a break after he had cooled off because since being called back up, he's been absolutely fantastic. He's done what's been asked of him and then some.
