Andrew Shaw the 2013 version of Adam Burish?

I can't help but see Burish in Shaw only without all the fisticuffs.  Very similar playing style, both world class agitators, both play at 110%, both can put the puck in the net.  Maybe even a little Andrew Ladd.  Important role and he's filling it well.</p>

I see him more as a poor man's andrew ladd. Burish isn't a bad comparison either but I feel he's better than burish and not as good as Ladd.</p>

sorry cpl there is no comparison btw the two. Only thing is work ethic other than that Shaw has a better skill package. Playing twice his size doesn't hurt..that kids got some sort of pent up rage in him that comes out on the ice. Big difference btw his intelligence these playoffs and last years also. Good full year with this club taught him a lot. Burish really never "improved" his hockey intelligence. I liked Burish but never thought of him as a depth player who could change a game. Shaw has proven that he is.</p>

I liked Burish, But I don't think he has the guts, foolhardyness, complete lack of fear, and/or pain synapses that run slower than a Geo Metro missing 2 sparkplugs to go face-to-chest with Chara.</p>
