Read up on this earlier today after taking my beagle bro on a walk.

Don't care wtf people say about the benefits; how anyone can justify the treatment of dogs/animalslike this should be ashamed of themselves. Shit, I said the same thing about Laika the russian dog. Humans.. Oh what we won't do for the name of "science"

Don't care. Pretty fucking dilluted and a tendancy to be a total nutjob to even think of doing that to another person.

I believe many people have said you can judge a man based the way they treat a fellow animal.

Not a big fan of animal testing unless there is no other method of testing a drug or treatment. And if you do have to do it then it should be as humaine as possible. There are very few excuses for allowing anything to suffer. There may be a good reason to do it but you should limit it as much as possible.

When I was younger and in the Army I went through training at Ft. Sam Houston Texas. Our course was called the 'Super B' program where Combat Medics underwent increased training. At the time to get promoted to SGT you had to go through this course. The SuperB (or 91B30 course) had a goat lab where they would literally shoot a goat and you had to keep it alive. The goat was anesthetized and kept pain free (we hoped) during the training but at that time there wasn't any better training available as far as dealing with wounds and wound care. So we went through it. It wasn't a pretty part of the course but it did teach us some things.

Now the Army has electronic and interactive content, with hands on training with simulators (ie dummies) that do a pretty good job of simulating the exact same things as the old goat lab. It's not quite as realistic, there really was some benefit to the goat lab but not enough to justify shooting some poor animal. Common sense should be the guide for this. Unfortunately that doesn't always seem to be the case.

I don't even want to click on any of the videos in this thread. Looks too sick and disturbing.
