It's Vermilion Oil owned by Mariner Energy's rig.

Apparently it's in much shallower of water than the BP rig.

sounds like no oil is flowing.. still proves the dangerous state of oil drilling.

hydrogen > nuclear

Same investment, one doesn't use radioactive materials.

hydrogen > nuclear

Same investment, one doesn't use radioactive materials.

The process in which hydrogen is recovered from natural gas creates a ton of carbon dioxide. So you're just replacing one problem with a slightly better one. You also need to look at resources used versus energy gained and you will see why nuclear power has far money money invested into it's technology than hydrogen power plants.

The problem is not that we use radioactive materials in nuclear power but what can we do with the waste from the plants. France has been making fuels from the waste from their plants. Nuclear power is a no brain solution, it is efficient, causes no pollution, and is cheapest solution. We just need to develop a system of dealing with the spent rods and byproduct waste.

Carbon Dioxide is fine. It can be used to make more hydrogen, plastics, and other fuels. CO2 is the gas of life for the majority of life on this planet, and I don't get where how you can turn that into a product of pollution.

Hydrogen is just 100x more versatile, and after the initial investment, its ridiculously cheap in comparison to nuclear. All of the worlds transportation could run on hydrogen, but that is not the case with nuclear.
