Didn't come anywhere near here luckily....kind of amazed...figures with the way my luck has been lately , the storms would have smashed through here and wasted my house. News has been saying that the family of the teenage girl that was killed, found her a few hundred yards from her house, still wrapped in her blanket, looking as if she was still asleep. Sad.....

Jefferson County, Tuscaloosa County, Birmingham and Clay. The one that touched down in Jefferson county, they are saying was on the ground for 2 hours.........and anyone who lives in or near "tornado country" understands that is an extremely long time for a funnel to form.

Thats super long. A full 2 hours of ground contact? That's unheard of.

That's what I heard on the news earlier....find it kind of odd myself....I could believe numerous funnels over 2 hours, but one continuous funnel??

My In-laws have a place in Orange Beach they plan to eventually retire to permanently, they vacation there year round. I always wonder if one day it won't be there anymore.
