Fun time of year coming up and the fact it's on a Saturday-awesome!

We're headed up to the mountains to spend time with family and check out the show at Nottingham park. Can't wait! I wish I could write about big BBQ plans, but we're flying by the seat of our pants for this mini-trip.

Grilling steaks and blowing holes in the backyard of a friend in the NW burbs.

I had enough potassium perchlorate and military grade aluminum powder leftover from last year to make some serious salutes.

Biggest party for us for the year. Going to the homestead where over 200+ people from inlaws' church and farmer's market customers are invited to an all-day kegger/bbq.

Me and wifey are preparing awesome salads for all these folks and I'll be grilling to order approximately 300 1/3 lb burgers from a freshly slaughtered grass-fed angus steer.

Activities include skeet shooting, gator rides for the kids and a scavenger hunt in the woods.

At dusk, we light off about $1000 worth of fireworks and then whoever is too drunk to drive camps out in a hay field.
